Potato Soup and French Bread

I am trying to get better about making dinner and not having to run to the store. So tonight I make this Potato Soup from Taste of Home.

It was a hit with most of us :-) Miss T, Dear Hubby and I gobbled it down. I gave Reed and Shelby mostly just the potatoes and such. Mr R ate his well but we had to work on Miss S a bit.

I used Shredded Cheddar instead of Velveeta and Sauteed the onions and some minced garlic in the bacon fat before draining.

I will definitely be making this again.

We paired it with this awesome French Bread. Love that the Bread machine did most of the work and it only has 4 ingredients!!

Of course tonight I didn't take any pictures but I promise to post my pictures with recipes in the future!

Looking forward to leftovers for lunch tomorrow!!

Four Years Later.....

Well Friends,

I have decided I should start blogging again. With Baby #4 on the way, a love for cooking/baking and crocheting etc. I figure I have a lot of Randomness in my life to share!

I will share crazy stories from our days with the kids. Recipes I have tried and want to share. Crafts I am working on and more.

Hope you enjoy following our crazy random life!

It's a....

Well two weeks ago we had my ultrasound! For awhile I thought our child was going to be stubborn and keep us in suspense. Finally we were able to see, very clearly, that we are having a baby BOY!!!

Troy is very happy, and I am thrilled as well. We were hoping for a boy but would have been pleased with a girl as well. We are just so thankful and feel very blessed to be having this child.

At this point my due date is October 20th. Hoping to go earlier but know that everything about timing is in God's hands.

Time Again

Wow its been over 2 years since I have posted anything! I am terrible at this!

Well I figure its time to start again. An update:

We have been married now for 2 1/2 years. We are due to have our first Child mid-October 2012. We are super excited! We find out hopefully on June 12 if it is a boy or girl!

We will share with everyone the gender but will keep the name a surprise!

We are hoping to buy my parents house this fall. We tried last fall but I hadn't been in my job long enough. I work at a local bank as a teller. I have been there for almost 1 1/2 years now.

Troy graduated from NIU one year ago! He is working as a Quality Assurance Tester for an outreach of NIU, IIRC(Illinois Interactive Report Card).

We are excited about the new things happening in our lives! The last year definitely brought some hard times and changes but God is faithful in all things!

I look forward to trying to keep up with this as the summer starts and as we plan for our baby!
